Before we use an ingredient, our scientists start by asking questions . If there’s any doubt about its safety or benefit to you, we won’t use it.

Define

We determine the safe dosage range of the ingredient based on scientifically based standards.

Step 3

To decide

We evaluate all product ingredients to ensure they are safe for humans and the environment. If we can’t confirm this, we start over.

Step 4

Follow up

Our final step never ends. Once a product hits the shelves, we monitor new information about each ingredient. We collaborate with regulatory agencies and scientists outside of P&G on new product safety methods, ensuring we always have the most up-to-date information.
